Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Pleasant Park is stretched over 92 acres and is full of endless fun amenities. As one of the most impressive playgrounds in the Triangle, there are nine inclusive play villages for all ages and abilities. In addition, there are many sports fields, courts, and courses. Essentially, this park has room for almost any sport you could think of.
If you are interested in field rentals, contact Patrick Fitzsimons for all information. The demand for athletic fields is high, and the town programs do take priority when it comes to field usage. Nevertheless, if you want to rent one of the fields for personal use, make sure to plan ahead.
During the first official weekend open, Pleasant Park was visited by over 10,000 cars who wanted to experience the brand-new park. Now, the park has become one of the most visited parks in the Triangle area, not only for families but for people of all ages.
If you have any questions or concerns, administrative offices are located in the Fieldhouse. The Fieldhouse is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This building also includes restrooms, a concession stand, and rentable meeting rooms.
Amenities
Pleasant Park has the most amenities of all the parks in the area. There is no limit on activities you can take part in, no matter your abilities or age. Here is a list of all the amenities at Pleasant Park.

The impressive playground called the Enchanted Forest, features huge climbing structures and a giant 35-foot-tall slide inspired by the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz. This fairytale-inspired playground features fables and popular folklore to spark imagination and fun memories for all kids.
For the younger kids, there are play cube pieces designed to represent the apple from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This way, you can bring your children of all ages and have peace of mind that they will be safe.
Beginning on March 1, 2024, the basketball and pickleball court hours will change from sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. When they are not reserved for town programs, you will be able to book the courts for open public play. Now, you will have even more time to enjoy all that Pleasant Park has to offer.
Each of the multi-purpose fields is used for Town leagues and programs, local athletic organizations, and larger tournaments and events throughout the year. They are still open for public play at certain times if you are interested in individual practicing and pick-up games. However, organized team activities and private training sessions are not allowed.
Future Plans for Pleasant Park
While Pleasant Park already has more to offer than the average park, they are adding even more amenities for visitors to enjoy. We will start with Splashlantis Splashpad, which will open in the summer of 2024. As Apex's first-ever splash pad, session times are song for each hour, and you can buy tickets at the nearby ticket booth. Remember that cash will not be accepted.
Near Splashlantis, you can sit under the Forest Shelter at one of the picnic tables. These are also available for rent with a minimum of 3 hours if you have a bigger group.
Once completed, the full 5k trail will circle around and through the entire park. Starting and ending at the great play lawn. To find the start and finish area, you can park near the basketball and pickleball courts.
